Taking up the work of M 81 and M 82 I decided to try the possibility of processing it again from the beginning with the hope of getting more details of both galaxies and a bit of the IF. The base frame stars was done stacking in 2 drizzle DSS and Siril and integrated both results.
Same was done with the stacks in 2 drizzle from Enhance, Extreme and Triad Ultra filters but this time I selected the best frames, that presented lower FWHM, better sky and roundness stars. From Siril was used the Background extraction, the HT and GHT. It help a lot the fine tuning from GHT.
In Ps was done several steps in Camera Raw working the starless version done from Star Exterminator and StarNet V2 after cropped the image in reasonable way. I found both programs did not do a good job in the fullframe 2 drizzle image so doing a first half crop, worked as intended.
After many tests, I think it was possible to improve the quality of the details in the Cigar Galaxy and I managed to get a little more of the fine dust that is around it. A final crop was done for framed the galaxy in this position and scaled to 150%.
The acquisitions were made in March, April and November 2021 and January 2022.
